Dear ME Chronicles – BE #PETTY MONDAY
The day I learned to be #PETTY, I am laughing in my soul , because I use to be #PETTY holding grudges over every little thing. As a young girl growing up I was a chubby, insecure, quiet little girl. As a teenager it became quite clear how #PETTY I would become.
I had to deal with my weight being a plus size young lady I had to address my comfort eating or should I say a defense mechanism to comfort my shyness. My best friend at that time had the perfect shape, she could eat anything and not gain a pound. I hated her, but loved her as my friend. I use to think to myself, I can’t stand her, but it was in that #PETTY moment, I realized it was not her that needed a change it was Dear ME!
It was than I had to realize and reconcile with my #self-doubt #self sabotage #self-consciousness and #self-esteem. When you are challenged within your soul, the Holy Spirit is always convicting and teaching Dear ME to perfect and correct those things that are imperfect and immoral. The scripture 2 Timothy 2 (KJV) 15-16
15. Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
16. But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness. ‘
2 Timothy 2:15-16
I had to check and challenge DEAR ME what was it I needed to do to make a change in ME! I began to change my eating habits, exercising and building my self-esteem. I reconciled with DEAR ME and yes I became #PETTY!
